Progressive consistently offers affordable auto insurance rates, but there’s a tradeoff in customer service. Progressive is one of the best places to turn to if you’re looking to get a low rate on car insurance. Its “Name Your Price” tool enables you to build a policy around your own budget, and it offers several easily achievable discounts for things like buying online and paying in full. Progressive also delivers on coverage options, offering all the basics, as well as some normally difficult to find extras, like gap coverage, which will cover the difference between what your car is actually worth in the event of an accident and what you still owe on it. Esurance makes it easy to build a custom auto insurance policy and manage it on the go, but that flexibility comes at a high price. Esurance, owned by Allstate, was one of the first insurers to start selling direct to consumers online. Innovative technology has been a key part of its business ever since. It offers a streamlined quote process and some of the best mobile apps in the business.
